Hackster is the community dedicated to learning hardware prototyping and development.
Hackster is the world’s largest hardware creation community. Hackster empowers people everywhere to learn, build and showcase projects and products they created. The platform brings together people of all skill levels and provides them with tools and resources to share and collaborate. Hackster was acquired by Avnet in November 2016.
As the first hire apart from the founder, I was tasked with everything from taking notes and iterating on the core product, piloting email newsletters and social media efforts, and building out templates and processes to streamline those executions in the future. I created the filing system and content asset repositories that were foundational operational tools for the business, and allowed for the easy repurposing of assets as the product scaled from a userbase of under 10,000 to over half a million users as of 2018.
